Shikhar Dhawan revealed where the mistake occurred after the team’s defeat in the match
During their match against Punjab Kings, the star batsman of the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) team, Virat Kohli, scored 77 runs with a strike rate of 157. Along with him, Dinesh Karthik helped RCB secure the victory by scoring an unbeaten 28 runs. Thanks to the innings of these two players, Punjab Kings had to face defeat by 4 wickets. After the match, captain Shikhar Dhawan called it the turning point of the game.
During the post-match presentation after Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) lost the match, Shikhar Dhawan, Captain of the Punjab Kings team, spoke about the turning point of the game being when Virat Kohli missed a catch. Despite it being a good match, Dhawan felt that his team fell short by 15 runs. After Kohli’s dropped catch in the second over, they lost their momentum and suffered the consequences. Although the match lasted until the last over, they were unable to bowl well in the final over and lost the game.
Dhawan stated that although the pitch was decent, it was not ideal for batting. The ball was often stopping on the bat, and there were instances where it bounced twice. The spin bowlers also had a go at it. Dhawan is content with his runs but believes that they should have been scored more quickly in the first six overs. Losing wickets repeatedly added to the pressure of the game.
